📖 The Story So Far

Slurps Up Melbourne was founded in 2024 by Hirona and Martin. They noticed a real lack of consistent coffee tasting and community events across the city and wanted to fill that gap. Their goal was simple — create something inviting and open to anyone, whether you're just getting into coffee or already deep in the game. Slurps Up became a space to showcase coffees, test ideas, and share concepts from all over the world.

After launching a bunch of events in Melbourne, both Hirona and Martin headed back to their respective home countries — Japan and the UK — with plans to set up their own chapters there. Melbourne still remains the heart of it all. Now consiting of: Fabian, Hien, Katie, Jordy, and Kingsley the Melbourne crew remain strong and their crowd even stronger.

Jonathan a frequent Melbourne Slurpsup goer, after moving to Sydney aimed to bring the Slurps Up energy over, building a similarly supportive and welcoming space.
