What is a Cloud Roast?
Your opportunity to experience what it's like to be a Coffee Roaster! It's a roast where you and a group of other enthusiasts have full control over the purchasing and production of a coffee, with Loud serving as your medium.
Here at Loud we want to give you unadulterated access to the entire roasting process from sourcing and purchasing to sampling and roasting! Get your hands on coffee you had full control over producing.

With info gathered from discussion and sample roasts, we’ll finalise our profile and vote on the production curve.

With the final curve set we’ll kick off the production roast and start shipping out your orders!

When we open a roast program, you have the opportunity to get in early and be involved with the 2-week source to cup process!
You’ll be making major production decisions alongside fellow Cloud Roasters guided by us here at Loud.
Each project will have a unique purpose and objective, which will determine your initial selection list. Buy-in prices determine the green purchase budget — additional breakdowns available on the project page.
Get involved at every step, we’ll do the testing and logging to the best of our ability, and you get to review, compare, and decide!

Do I need to be a professional to join a Cloud Roast?+
Not at all! Anyone curious about coffee can join and help shape the roast. We'll do our best to convey each experience to the best of our ability, as well as provide educational tools to help you grow with us!
How much does it cost to join?+
It varies by project and green pricing, roasts start from $16aud for a 150g bag. Giving you access to the entire decision making process. This start price allows fo green budgets starting from 40aud/kg. Additional breakdowns available on individual CR pages.
Can I join from overseas?+
Yes! We can arrange for overseas shipping, however shipping will need to be manually calculated and likely come bearing higher costs than our domestic shipping ratees.
How long does it take me to get my coffee?+
From a Cloud Roast's start date, we aim to have the coffees shipped out within a two week window. Time from green arrival to production takes around 7 days - the additional 7 day leway is to accomodate any international green shipments (we only ship express for your convenience).
